I'm a lucky person who found her professional niche early in life. High school journalism was my route to PR, and although I wrote for newspapers in college, I never pursued that role. Instead, I read a book, What Color is Your Parachute, and decided PR might be more to my liking. I didn't really even understand what it fully entailed at the time, but I soon learned in my first "trial by fire" job at The Salvation Army and I have never looked back on my decision.
